| The primary focus of this organization will be to facilitate the administration of educational and community outreach programs currently under the auspices of NYSCOPBA, Inc. These programs were designed as a tool for image enhancement, as well as a benevolent activity on behalf of the membership of NYSCOPBA. The mandate from our membership was to create programs for the benefit and development of children; to keep them safe and to enable them to make sound choices through real world education and situational training. |
The success of these programs has caused exponential growth and an environment
where we cannot fiscally continue to fulfill the requests for these programs
without the assistance that outside funding can provide. The formation
of this corporation will enable us to provide all of the programs we currently
offer, as well as maintain fiscal responsibility to NYSCOPBA, which currently
is the sole source of funding for these initiatives.
With the infusion of capital, equipment, and staffing resources this corporation
can provide, we will be able to guarantee the continuance of these works,
and expand the programs to reach far greater potentials in the future.
It will also enable us to reach outside of our own core agencies, to our
brother and sister Officers from Police, Fire and Sheriff Departments,
to facilitate the staffing of these initiatives and bring us together
to insure our work provides consistency, strength, and a unified message.
In conclusion, the mission of this organization will be consistent with that of NYSCOPBA: to provide benevolent activities to the communities in which our members reside, and the furtherance of the image of Law Enforcement as Professionals within the community who care about our most precious natural resource….America's Children.
