Street Accessories was launched in 2002 and was the original dream of
Donna Durr, NYC stylist & textile designer, and 3rd in a family
of 6 siblings.
Margaret Durr, mother of Donna, was immediately recruited to begin sewing the beautiful handbags offered by York Street Accessories. The business has been expanding to include other sisters and is still growing today. “York Street Accessories” is taken from the street name of the Durr family residence in historic Utica, New York where the original business dream was born. York Street was a creative environment to grow up in. The dining room table was used more as an art studio than for dining. Mary Mullin, living at the other end of York Street was a true creative inspiration who taught her daughter Margaret and grand daughters the fine points of sewing, knitting, crocheting and artistic expression. This creative expression translates into beautiful original handbags, each made individually with care at York Street. The finest fabrics, linings and hardware are used to create these fun, classic, stylish accessories for the fashion forward woman.
